About

Kerrville-Schreiner Park is a 517-acre city park on the Guadalupe River just south of Kerrville, operated by the City of Kerrville. It offers some of the Hill Country's best camping under mature live oak and cedar along the river. The hiking trails wander through rocky cedar-juniper terrain with good views of the river valley. Less crowded than Garner and Guadalupe River state parks, and often has availability when those parks are full.

Shade Details

Good shade along the river and in campground; more exposed on ridge hiking trails.

Conditions & Tips

Good fallback when Garner State Park is full. The campground is well-maintained. Kerrville downtown has good food and the Museum of Western Art.

Guadalupe levels drop in drought but swimming is usually viable at normal flow.
